The Face Says it All

How I felt walking back in to the classroom this afternoon...

Short recap of the past few days...

• Hung out with the love bug, Jason, yesterday & we finally got to eat somewhere other than Whole Foods, hah! [He got his blood drawn, cholesterol and blood pressure checked, etc. on Wednesday for a chance to get a bigger discount at work. He'll find out in 10 more days!] We both enjoyed a delicious meal at Lost Dog Cafe! [That place is incredible, seriously.]

• Jason told me that next Friday we're doing something. Going to some show, but I have no idea what show. I guess I'll have to let the suspense linger a bit longer. It starts at 10:30? No idea what to expect!

• Jason also told me that he closes on Valentine's Day. Of course he does, dangit! Just my luck. Oh well, instead we will celebrate on Wednesday by going to Ray's the Steaks [if we can get a reservation in...fingers crossed!] So excited about a delicious dinner!

• We watched Pitch Perfect last night. It didn't live up to the hype I've heard [sorry ladies...!]. I loved the singing though, but some of the movie was just kinda...well, lame. Oh welllll.

• Today Carin was out, so we had a sub...I didn't care for her much. When I came in from my lunch break, she was supposed to be doing freeze dance with the kids. Well, the music was blasting and the kids all had plastic food items in hand from housekeeping. What. The. Hell. Happened while I was gone?! Seriously, all you had to do was watch them for 30. Minutes. That's it! Way too out of control. Changed my mood completely.

• With that being said, I feel that substitutes are hired way too easily. They should be interviewed. I mean, I went through all the trouble to become a sub before teaching. [Didn't end up doing any subbing, but went through orientation and filled out the bajillion papers that came along with it!]

• And now here I am, at home, on a Friday night. Gonna relax. Nextflix it up probably!
